Las producciones The author, de Manuel Mart n Cuenca y The library, de Isabel Coixet han dado la sorpresa en los Premios Forqu al ser elegidas ex aequo como mejor largometraje. Un hecho nunca antes acontecido en las 23 ediciones celebradas de estos galardones, pero contemplado en sus bases: En caso de empate, compartir n el premio las ganadoras . Ambos t tulos obtuvieron el mismo n mero de votos tras la segunda ronda de votaciones.
Cayetana Guill n Cuervo y Julio Medem, encargados de anunciar el resultado, hac an entrega a ambos equipos del trofeo que representaba una doble satisfacci n. Coixet agradec a su discurso el apoyo recibido a lo largo de este camino contra los palos en las ruedas que muchos han intentado colocar para sacar delante de la historia de esta mujer viuda que decide montar una librer a en un peque o pueblo de Inglaterra. Jose Nolla, productor de El autor, lanzaba un deseo vestido de petici n, ojal que este cine tan potente, tan bello, tan rico, se mantenga en los pr ximos a os declaraba sobre esta historia donde su protagonista persigue su sue o: escribir una gran novela.
En el apartado interpretativo, la pel cula de Manuel Mart n Cuenca se hac a con su segundo Premio Forqu . Javier Guti rrez se alzaba como mejor actor, un reconocimiento que se suma al ya obtenido en 2015 por The minimum island. Por su parte y dotado por AISGE al igual que el anterior, la mejor interpretaci n femenina era para Nathalie Poza por su papel en I dont want to say goodbye. El palmar s de estos premios organizados por EGEDA, Entidad de Gesti n de Derechos de los productores Audiovisuales, lo completan Muchos hijos, un mono y un castillo, la pera prima de Gustavo Salmer n, con el Forqu al mejor largometraje documental; Mother, de Rodrigo Sorogoyen que obtiene el Forqu al mejor cortometraje; What really matters, de Paco Arango, Premio Forqu al Cine y la Educaci n en Valores, galard n otorgado en colaboraci n con la FAD - Fundaci n de Ayuda contra la Drogadicci n, y la producci n chilena nominada a los Globos de Oro y candidata a estar entre las finalistas al Oscar a la mejor pel cula extranjera: A fantastic woman, de Sebasti n Lelio, Forqu a la mejor pel cula latinoamericana.
Durante la ceremonia el presidente de EGEDA, Enrique Cerezo, se encargaba de lanzar un mensaje claro y directo. La cultura es un activo estrat gico. La gala, retransmitida por La 1 de RTVE, estuvo conducida de forma gil y cercana por Boris Izaguirre y Elena S. S nchez, contando adem s con un toque de humor de la mano del carism tico actor y comediante, Edu Soto quien no dudaba en recordar al carism tico y recientemente fallecido, Chiquito de la Calzada.
Carlos Saura, Medalla de Oro de EGEDAEsta era la segunda vez que los Forqu se celebraban fuera de la capital de Espa a, en el Palacio de Congresos de Zaragoza. Un ic nico emplazamiento situado en una tierra con marcado sabor cinematogr fico, con ilustres aragoneses como Luis Bu uel, Jose Luis Borau, el propio Jos Mar a Forqu o Carlos Saura, Medalla de Oro de EGEDA en esta edici n. El realizador oscense, uno de los mayores embajadores de nuestro s ptimo arte y autor de obras como La caza, Cr a Cuervos o Carmen, destacaba que a lo largo de su carrera he podido hacer las pel culas que siempre que he querido hacer y pon a la vista en el futuro para seguir viviendo con este entusiasmo por el trabajo y por la vida .
El c ctel fue completo con grandes actuaciones musicales sobre el escenario. Importantes voces de la m sica en espa ol como Sergio Dalma y Pastora Soler o la alegr a y el ritmo del grupo canario Efecto Pasillo encandilaron al p blico presente, al igual que uno de los fen menos sociales del momento: Operaci n Triunfo 2017. Los 9 que se encuentran ya fuera de la Academia (Nerea, Cepeda, Raoul, Mireya, Ricky, Marina, Thal a, Juan Antonio y Mimi) entonaron Camina , todo un himno que ya se ha encaramado a lo m s alto de las listas de reproducci n en Espa a.
El Premio Cinematogr fico Jos Mar a Forqu 2018 que organiza EGEDA, no ser a posible sin el esfuerzo y la colaboraci n especial del Gobierno de Arag n (Arag n, tierra de cine) y su Arag n Film Commission; la implicaci n del Palacio de Congresos de Zaragoza (un edificio emblem tico construido con motivo la Expo 2008); adem s del inestimable apoyo de la entidad Safe Creative (Primer Registro online de la propiedad intelectual, con sede en Zaragoza) y de la Fundaci n Aisge, que dota los premios a mejor interpretaci n.
Despu s de veintitr s ediciones, los Forqu se han consolidado como uno de los premios cinematogr ficos m s prestigiosos de la industria del cine espa ol y es actualmente cita obligada de todos los profesionales del sector: actores, directores y productores.
