Ed Calverley promoted to VP Products in ongoing expansion of Suitcase TV

Suitcase TV, a leader in software engineering for the broadcast industry has announced the promotion of Ed Calverley to VP products as part of the companys continued expansion. Eds new areas of responsibility come into effect immediately.

Ed joined Suitcase TV as product manager just one day before BVE 2015. In his short tenure with the company, he has made an impact on the existing range of products and has already implemented an ambitious programme of alterations and enhancements as well as the scoping of new product lines and solutions. The promotion to VP products will enable Ed to steer product development at boardroom level.

The new role will benefit greatly from Eds considerable experience. Having initially joined the BBC as a project manager in 1999, he was privileged to be put through their broadcast engineering training, a programme he was later involved in delivering as a lecturer at the corporations training centre in Worcestershire. Whilst working at OmniBus, he transitioned from project management into product management and oversaw the evolution of their iTX playout solution that led to the company being acquired by Miranda in 2010. More recently, he has worked at OASYS Automated Playout Ltd where he was instrumental in establishing the company as a major supplier of IT-based playout technologies and in its transition into BroadStream Solutions in 2014.
