HP to Provide BMI Healthcare with Upgrades to IT InfrastructureFlexible investment solutions help improve delivery of patient services
PALO ALTO, Calif. - HP today announced that it will support BMI Healthcare's migration to Windows 7 by offering a flexible investment solution to help refresh its personal computer estate with HP notebooks and desktops.
As the largest private hospital businesses in the U.K., BMI Healthcare services 1 million outpatient visits per year in 69 hospitals and treatment centers. With back- and front-office functions as well as consultants delivering patient services running on Windows XP, BMI Healthcare recognized the need to rapidly upgrade to Windows 7.
With the help of HP, BMI Healthcare has been able to deliver on a shortened six-month migration schedule. Leveraging flexible IT investment solutions from HP Financial Services allowed the organization to bundle hardware purchase requirements and build in future refresh cycles to stay current. As a result, BMI Healthcare is able to immediately improve patient services through the upgraded HP and Windows 7 technology delivered.

Under the contract, BMI Healthcare will receive the HP Notebook and Desktop enhancements it needs. Utilizing HP's customer portal provides BMI Healthcare with the additional flexibility to manage, upgrade or change its financial arrangements and assets at any time.
