Daktronics DakStats Software Enhances Stats at College Baseball Venues

College baseball venues are bringing a major league feel to their fans by turning up the statistical aspect of their game-day productions with DakStats Baseball software from Daktronics of Brookings, SD. The software combines a scorebook generator and Daktronics graphics generator to provide video display content of traditional scorekeeping for individual player at-bats throughout the game.

The DakStats setup with the scorecard and spray chart generators are a huge hit, a number of other schools have been down this way and are interested in what we're doing here, says Mike Dewsnap, Daktronics event producer on campus at University of Georgia. Our setup helps incorporate more data into the game-day presentation and fans love it. Some fans like to keep book' at the games and the scorecard generator provides an easy way to double-check their work while other fans sit back and receive that classic book-keeping experience from simply viewing the video display.

Once the software has been installed it automatically pulls data for the graphics generators to display the information in a very easy, hands-off process.

The scorecards and spray charts are customizable as well. A team can replicate the look of their specific field and incorporate team colors into their presentation.

A number of current Daktronics customers are making use of this feature including Auburn University, Clemson University, University of Georgia, University of South Carolina, and Wake Forest University.
