Simian, the industry leader in creative workflow and evolutionary media management solutions, today announces the release of Simian NOW!, a new app that allows Simian users to download reels and other media assets to their iPhone or iPad for playback offline without an internet connection. Simian NOW!, available free through the Apple App Store, provides a simple and convenient way to store and playback media from wherever one happens to be, even when Internet and Wi-Fi service is unavailable.
Now, Simian users will never have to worry about a lack of access to the internet preventing them from presenting their work, says Simian COO Brian Atton. Simian NOW! puts reel presentations locally on mobile devices, thus eliminating the need for a connection to present work. Media is available instantly from wherever you are.
Simian will be demonstrating its media management platform, including Simian NOW!, at the National Association of Broadcasters Convention, April 13-16, in Las Vegas, Booth N7734.
The Simian NOW! App works with iPhone and iPad, and can be used in conjunction with Apple AirPlay via Apple TV to stream media files to an HDTV or other display. The new app is the perfect complement to Simian GO!, Simian's groundbreaking app that enables users to build and send reels via iPhone.
Simian GO! is a huge success that has proven to be an indispensable tool in helping busy professionals in advertising, entertainment and other industries share media assets and presentations, while on the road, says Atton, predicting similar enthusiasm for Simian NOW! Even in today's connected society, we often encounter situations where there simply is no access to a wireless signal or Wi-Fi. Simian NOW! makes it possible to view media without a connection. It's the perfect solution for in-person and impromptu screenings.
Simian NOW! is the latest in a series of new Simian apps and features designed to help creative professionals, sales personnel, media managers and numerous others to maximize productivity, at home or away. Several other exciting additions to the Simian toolset will also be introduced at NAB.
