El filme supone el debut como realizador de largometraje del guionista Sergio G. S nchez, premiado por The orphanage and nominated by The impossible and The end al Goya al Mejor Gui n, y a los CEC por la adaptaci n de la superproducci n Palm trees in the snow.
El reparto lo compone un grupo de j venes actores brit nicos y estadounidenses encabezado por Anya Taylor-joy (The Witch), George Mackay (Captain Fantastic, For Those in Peril), Mia Goth (A Cure for Wellness, Nymphomaniac. Volumen 2), Charlie Heaton (Shut In), Matthew Stagg (Macbeth), y Kylie Soller (The Keeping Room, Anna Karenina).
En el apartado t cnico, Marrowbone cuenta con grandes nombres del cine espa ol como el director de fotograf a Xavi Gim nez (ganador de un Premio Goya por Agora and nominated multiple times for different awards for Fr giles, Palmeras en la nieve o The Machinist); Sonia Grande en el dise o de vestuario (ganadora de un Premio Goya por The girl of your dreams and nominated for various awards for his work in Midnight in Paris de Woody Allen, con qui n ha participado en varias pel culas, Broken embraces Pedro Almodovar or The others de Alejandro Amen bar); Patrick Salvador en la direcci n de arte (nominado al Premio Goya por Automaton and responsible in its category of films as Todos est n muertos, Tengo ganas de ti o Three meters above the sky); Sandra Hermida en la direcci n de producci n (ganadora de dos Premios Goya por Lo Imposible y El Orfanato ); Elena Ruiz, en Montaje (ganadora de un Premio Goya por The impossible and nominated by The orphanage and Eva), o Sergio Burman en sonido (ganador del Premio Goya por The kid and Cell 211).
Marrowbone, cuyo rodaje tendr lugar a lo largo de 10 semanas en distintas localizaciones de Asturias y en los plat s de Terrassa (Barcelona), se centra en la historia de cuatro hermanos, que temiendo que les separen tras la muerte de su madre, se esconden del mundo en su abandonada granja una granja cuyas viejas paredes esconden un terrible secreto.
La pel cula est producida por Telecinco Cinema, Marrowbone y Ruidos en el tico con la participaci n de Mediaset Espa a y Movistar+, distribuida en Espa a por Universal Pictures International Spain.
Internacionalmente, Lionsgate ha logrado hasta el momento acuerdos de ventas internacionales de la nueva pel culas en m s de 30 territorios, incluyendo Francia, Reino Unido, Am rica Latina, Australia e Italia, tras su paso por la ltima edici n del mercado de Cannes.
