GCI Launches TiVo Offering Next-Generation Advanced TV Deployment Brings GCI Subscribers in Alaska Most Advanced, Multi-Screen and Multi-Source TV Service

SAN JOSE, CA and ANCHORAGE, AK--(Marketwire - Mar 21, 2013) - TiVo Inc. (NASDAQ: TIVO), a leader in the advanced television entertainment market, and GCI (General Communication, Inc.), today announced that the initial deployment of TiVo as GCIs next-generation, whole home advanced television solution has begun. GCI, one of the top 20 largest cable operators in the country, plans to offer TiVo across its entire subscriber base over the coming months.

This launch, following the initial announcement by GCI and TiVo last year, provides GCI customers with the TiVo Premiere Q 4-tuner gateway DVR and TiVo Mini low-cost IP set-tops, with plans to offer the 6-tuner Pace XG1 gateway later this year. The offering combines linear cable television with integrated on demand and broadband content through TiVos award winning user interface, providing a consistent experience for any content on any screen and incorporating personalized recommendations and powerful search and discovery capabilities.
