Globo presents Hidden Trus, with a love triangle involving mr and daughter

Fame, money, and pleasure. This is the basis of telenovela Hidden Truths,' which was a tremendous success in Brazil and that Globo will present at the 2016 Natpe. In the plot, a powerful, obsessive businessman involves mother and daughter in a love triangle full of secrets and manipulation games, having the fashion scene as a backdrop.

In Brazil, the telenovela by Walcyr Carrasco ( Gabriela' and Trail of Lies') was broadcast in the 11:00 pm time slot and recorded an average 43% share and more than 18 million viewers (source: Ibope).

The telenovela, with its intense, engaging plot, also made a splash on social networks. While being broadcast, it generated more than 3 million comments on a microblog. The #verdadessecretas (original title of the telenovela) hashtag was the most used, with 2,817,827 mentions. In second place was #angel, the name young Arlete uses after entering into the fashion world. The telenovela's last chapter garnered more than 1 million mentions.

Arlete (Camila Queiroz) is a young woman who dreams of being a model. Facing financial difficulties, she seeks in her career an opportunity to make a better life for her family. However, behind all the glamour of the runway, there is a prostitution ring that will transform the life of the new model forever.

The young woman falls in love with her client, powerful businessman Alex (Rodrigo Lombardi, India - A Love Story'). When she realizes that the relationship would not have a future, she decides to step down. Used to getting everything he wants, Alex marries Arlete's mom just to be near the girl. Victims of the same passion, mother and daughter are involved in a risky love triangle full of secrets and manipulation games.

The city of S o Paulo, modern and vibrant, was chosen to be the scenario of Hidden Truths.' The shootings happened at various locations in the city, from luxurious places to the most decadent, drawing a parallel between the glamour of fashion and its not-so-beautiful insides.

The highlight of the shootings was the experience in S o Paulo Fashion Week. Cast and production walked and shot backstage, without interfering in the real environment, in the dynamics of the fashion shows and backstage. From makeup to the runway, everything was used to tell the story. The structure and performance of international Fuerza Bruta were also part of the shootings. A fashion show, which will focus on the first appearance of the protagonist, Arlete/Angel (Camilla Queiroz), as a model, happens during the presentation of the company, which has dance, music, and water acrobatics in its repertoire.

Hidden Truths' also features actors such as Reynaldo Gianecchini ( Shades of Sin'), Grazi Massafera ( Caribbean Flower'), Guilhermina Guinle ( The Illusionist'), gatha Moreira ( Helena's Shadow'), and Drica Moraes ( Pepper Chocolate').

Natpe 2016

Globo will be located at the Tr sor Tower, suite 2601, during Natpe, which will be held from January 19th until 21st. The Brazilian company that produces, distributes and exhibits multigenre content around the world to across multiple platforms will offer its traditional Screening Breakfast on the morning of the 19th (from 8:00 to 10:00 AM, in the Versailles Tower, at the Glimmer Ballroom), where it will launch its new catalog of unreleased titles.
