NetApp Public Sector Launches Innovative TV Program on Cloud Computing with Powerful Line-Up of Government CIOs VIENNA, Va. - August 20, 2013 - NetApp U.S. Public Sector and partners DLT Solutions, World Wide Technology, and Blue River Information Technology announced that they will sponsor Gov Innovate: Cloud Computing, a 30-minute thought-leadership television program for government, education, and industry executives airing on WRC NBC Channel 4 in Washington, D.C., on Saturday, August 24, and Sunday, August 25, at 12 p.m. ET. The program will also be hosted online at NBC4.com for additional viewing starting Monday, August 26.

Federal agencies are facing obstacles in moving to the cloud, such as budget pressure, agility, and security. The objective of the program is to empower government executives to feel confident in their move to the cloud by providing successful case studies on how to overcome transformation obstacles and implement cloud technologies, said Mark Weber, President, NetApp U.S. Public Sector.

The program consists of two federal panels and a state and local panel hosted by Dave McClure, Associate Administrator, Citizen Services & Innovative Technologies, GSA. Each panel discusses their drive to adopt cloud technology innovations amid dwindling budgets.

Federal agency thought leaders include Darren Ash, CIO at the Nuclear Regulatory Commission; Joe Klimavicz, CIO at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration; Keith Trippie, Executive Director, Enterprise System Development Office, Department of Homeland Security; Simon Szykman, CIO at the Department of Commerce; Stephen Warren, Acting Assistant Secretary for the Office of IT at the Veterans Administration; and Casey Coleman, CIO at the General Services Administration.

State and local agency thought leaders include Phil Bertolini, CIO at Oakland County Michigan; Michael Struck, Director of IT Infrastructure and Development at Tri-Rivers Educational Computer Association; and Joe Prchlik, Director of Operations and Technology at Northwest Ohio Computer Association.
