Nautel Earns Three Best of Show Awards at NAB 22 Apr 2014

Hackett's Cove, Nova Scotia -- Nautel returned home from the recent NAB convention with three awards, two for the new GV Series of FM transmitters and one for the new NT250 television transmitter.

All three awards were presented by NewBay Media publications Radio, Radio World and TV Technology. Only a small number of products were chosen for each award from among hundreds of new products in competition at NAB. Entries were evaluated by a panel of engineers and industry experts, and were selected based on innovation, feature set, cost efficiency and performance in serving the industry.

Selected for awards from Radio and Radio World magazines was the new GV Series of high-power FM transmitters. This series gives customers state of the art IBOC performance with outstanding digital efficiency and incorporates Nautel's unique intelligent capabilities in an even more serviceable and refined package. The GV Series supports power levels ranging from 3.5 kW to 80 kW and offers many outstanding features including:

The latest offering in the NT Series of low power TV transmitters, the NT250, was named Best of Show by TV Technology magazine. As with Nautel's other low power UHF transmitters, the NT250 combines an advanced software defined modulator, amplifier, remote control, adaptive pre-correction and mask filter in a single, compact 4 RU enclosure. Also available as an option is a market-leading enhanced adaptive pre-correction technology, OPTIPOWER . It allows optimization of transmitter power efficiency and transmitter MER (Modulation Error Ratio) performance, as well as real-time spectrum analysis. The NT250 supports major digital transmission standards including DVB-T, DVB-T2, ATSC and IDSB-Tb.
