Extremely high fire danger conditions are expected over the West Coast district, Cape Winelands, Central and Little Karoo regions of the Western Cape, in places over the Northern Cape, Western parts of the North West, western parts of the free state, as well as the northern parts of the Eastern Cape.

Weather forecast and UV index for all provinces Gauteng: Fine and warm becoming partly cloudy in the afternoon.

UVB sunburn index: Moderate.

Mpumalanga: Morning fog patches along the escarpment, otherwise partly cloudy and cool to warm with isolated showers and thundershowers on the Highveld.

Limpopo: Morning fog patches on the escarpment, otherwise partly cloudy and warm but fine in the west.

North-West Province: Fine and warm to hot.

Free State: Fine and warm, but hot in the west.

Northern Cape: Cool along the coast, otherwise fine and hot to very hot. The wind along the coast will be fresh to strong south-easterly to southerly.

Western Cape: Cloudy at first along the south coast where it will be cool becoming partly cloudy,otherwise fine and warm to hot but very hot to extreme hot over the interior of the West Coast District. The wind along the coast will be strong south to south-easterly but light southerly along the south coast becoming moderate to fresh in the afternoon.

UVB index: Extreme.

Western half of the Eastern Cape: Cloudy in places in the south at first otherwise fine and hot to very hot but cool along the coast, becoming cloudy along the coast from afternoon. The wind along the coast will be Light and variable at first otherwise light to moderate south westerly becoming south easterly by late afternoon.

Eastern half of the Eastern Cape: Fine and warm to hot. The wind along the coast will be Light north easterly becoming south westerly south of East London in the afternoon spreading to the north and reaching Port St Johns at night.

KwaZulu-Natal: Fine and warm. The wind along the coast will be Moderate north-easterly.

UVB index: High.
