Heading into the busy spring tennis season, Tennis Channel has promoted longtime media-advertising executive Allison Bodenmann to vice president, head of advertising sales, effective immediately. Bodenmann, based in the network's Manhattan office, will report to Ken Solomon, chairman and CEO, and Bill Simon, COO and CFO.
In her new role Bodenmann will oversee executive accounts, manage the staff in New York and act as a liaison between the ad sales team and the independent network's corporate headquarters in Los Angeles. She will continue to expand the channel's high-profile sponsor efforts while developing new ways to apply its live rights to close to 90 percent of U.S. televised tennis across all platforms on behalf of network sponsors.
Tennis Channel boasts one of the most affluent audiences in all of television, and Bodenmann's appointment comes at a time when the network has seen double-digit growth in its ad sales efforts during the past several years. Commensurate with this expansion, she will apply her significant expertise in traditional, digital and mobile media monetization toward the network's next phase of sponsor and sales development.

Bodenmann joined Tennis Channel in early 2014. In addition to 20 years of agency buying and planning experience, she founded the Syndicated National Television Association (SNTA) in 1998, and served as president of the television-program syndicators' trade group for three years. While there she developed the first syndication industry advertising campaign and brought in a stable of new advertisers that included Mazda, Discover Card, Wal-Mart and Yum Brands.
Prior to Tennis Channel, Bodenmann most recently served as Placemedia senior sales director and as Adlarge Media, LLC national account manager. Before that she was national sales manager at digital-specialist IAC, leading efforts for a wide array of websites including Evite, Match, Citysearch, Ask and more. Bodenmann also has worked as vice president of business development at Court TV. She started her career at Jordan, McGrath, Case & Taylor, where she spent 19 years rising to the position of senior vice president, broadcast director, for the advertising agency.
Bodenmann lives in New York City and holds a bachelor's degree in communications from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
