2014 Sundance Film Festival Kicks Off for Utah Residents Locals-Only Pass and Package Registration Available September 17 Through October 9, 2013

2014 Marks the Festival's 30th Anniversary

Park City, UT Sundance Institute will once again offer exclusive events and priority pass and ticket availability for the approximately 15,000 Utahns who attend the Sundance Film Festival each year. The Sundance Film Festival will be January 16 through 26, 2014.

Locals-only Festival pass and ticket package registration begins today (September 17) and will end October 9. During that time Festivalgoers must register at www.sundance.org/tickets and will receive an email on October 11 with a randomly assigned timeslot to purchase Festival passes and ticket packages online in October. Early registration does not guarantee an early purchase time slot. Descriptions of locals-only pass and ticket package options can be found at http://www.sundance.org/locals/.

Free Best of Fest Screenings for Utah residents

Sundance Institute presents complimentary screenings of an award-winning film to locals on January 27, 2014. Locals must bring a valid Utah Driver's License or Utah State ID to pick up these free tickets in person at any main box office in Ogden, Park City, Salt Lake City and Sundance Resort on January 11, 2014.

Free Townie Tuesday Screening for Summit County residents

Sundance Institute presents two complimentary screenings exclusively for Summit County residents for a screening on January 21, 2014. Summit County residents must bring a Utah ID to pick up these free tickets in person at the Park City Main Box Office on Saturday, January 11, 2014.

Volunteer at the Sundance Film Festival

Every year, Sundance Institute selects more than 1,800 volunteers more than half of whom live in Utah to help create a global platform for independent film. Volunteers assist in all areas of the Festival from theatre entrances to shuttle stops. Local, insider knowledge is always helpful, and of course, there are exciting benefits such as being among the first to see the best new independent films. Sundance Institute brings Utah residents a year-round series of events that best represents the Institute's spectrum of artist programs. Free community events feature screenings, musical performances and discussions from recent and past Institute Alumni in conjunction with local community collaborators.
