ITV daytime commiions Auf Wiedersehen My Pet (w/t) and Show Me the Telly.

ITV Daytime has commissioned two new formats for afternoons on ITV - Auf Wiedersehen My Pet (w/t) and Show Me the Telly.

Auf Wiedersehen, My Pet(w/t) from Shine TV, will see pet owners who, for genuine personal reasons, have to make the tough decision to give up their much-loved animals. They will be matched with a trio of potential new owners, all desperate to offer the pet a loving new home.

The current owners may be moving abroad, or perhaps for personal reasons can no longer give their animal the attention it needs. Each programme will focus on one owner and their pet, as they are given the opportunity to meet potential new owners, get to know their families and see around their homes. With invaluable help and advice throughout from animal experts, this series will follow the tears of goodbye, and the joy of a new beginnings.

RICHARD BACON will present Show Me the Telly from Shiver; a television archive-fuelled quiz that pits the wits of a team of everyday TV fans against a trio of famous onscreen know-it-alls.'

Each day, three time-served TV legends will be looking to display their prowess as they play against a team of friends, family or colleagues trying to out do them with their own impressive knowledge of TV trivia.

Over four fun packed rounds the two teams will answer telly-centric questions and play games all based on and around Britain's rich and varied TV heritage.

Director of ITV Daytime, Helen Warner said: These are two very different shows but they both have a similar, must-watch appeal for me. I cant wait to see them on air.

Auf Wiedersehen My Pet [w/t) ( 20 x 60]is a Shine production for ITV. The Executive Producer is Sacha Baveystock and the Series Producer is Suzanne Mcgairl. Show Me the Telly is a Shiver Production from MediaCityUK for ITV. The Executive Producer is Andrew Nicholson and the Series Producer is Sean Miller. Both programmes were commissioned by Director of ITV Daytime Helen Warner and ITV Commissioning Editor Diana Howie.
