Capital Markets Day: ProSiebenSat.1 will achieve 2015 growth target ahead of plan Revenue target for 2015 to be achieved by end of 2014
Group is also ahead of schedule for the 2018 growth targets
ProSiebenSat.1 updates positive outlook for 2014
Conversion of ProSiebenSat.1 Media AG into a European Company (SE) planned
Munich, October 15, 2014. At its Capital Markets Day in Munich today, the ProSiebenSat.1 Group provides a positive interim result regarding the implementation of its growth strategy: The Group expects to achieve the revenue growth target of EUR 800 million for 2015 compared to 2010 already at the end of 2014. ProSiebenSat.1 is also making very good progress towards its target of EUR 1 billion revenue increase compared to 2012, which was set for 2018: All three segments are ahead of schedule.
The early confirmation of the 2015 growth targets is primarily based on the significant revenue increase in the Digital & Adjacent and Content Production & Global Sales segments. Together, the two units already contribute 24.5% of the Groups revenues. The Broadcasting German-speaking segment is developing according to plan and is thus likewise contributing to the Groups strong performance.
CEO Thomas Ebeling commented, We are on an excellent path with the expansion of our digital business, the interlinking of our audio-visual content and the development of innovative business models. We will therefore be achieving our ambitious financial targets for 2015 early by the end of 2014. We have worked our way up to leading market positions in all areas and will continue the forward-looking, dynamic development of our business on this basis. This also includes the growing internationalization of our digital business in the coming years.
ProSiebenSat.1 invests in profitable growth
The Group also strives to continuously improve operating earnings and achieve above-average net profit in the future. The Group will use the resulting free cash flow for strategic growth investments as well as involving shareholders adequately in the companys success. The Group is therefore confirming its dividend policy of distributing between 80% and 90% of the underlying net income. On this basis, the revenue and earnings growth targeted for 2018 is likely to lead to a further increase in shareholder returns. At the same time, the Group is adhering to a leverage target of 1.5 to 2.5 times based on the ratio of net financial debt to LTM recurring EBITDA.
Group updates positive outlook for 2014
At todays Capital Markets Day, the ProSiebenSat.1 Group confirms its positive outlook for the year. Due to the positive business performance in the third quarter and the good start into the fourth quarter of 2014, the company is updating its revenue forecast. For the full year, the Group now expects revenues to increase in the high single-digit percentage range. Previously, the Company expected revenues to increase in the mid to high single-digit percentage range. With regard to recurring EBITDA and underlying net income, the Group also expects results to improve compared to the previous year.
Group plans conversion to legal form SE
In the years to come, the ProSiebenSat.1 Group will also strengthen its international focus of its digital portfolio. Against this background, the ProSiebenSat.1 Media AG is to be converted into a European Company (Societas Europaea/SE). The change in form into an SE is to be voted on at the Annual General Meeting on May 21, 2015. The plan is to implement the transformation in the summer of 2015.
