Today our VP - Legal, Digital Safety, Patrick Corrigan shared an update highlighting the takeaways of our biannual Transparency Report for the first half of 2023. He published the article below on-platform which can also be found here.

Today we published LinkedIn's Transparency Report for the first half of 2023. The report includes government requests and our community report that shows the action we took to remove fake accounts, spam and scams, and other content that violates the Professional Community Policies. We continue to see record engagement from our growing community, helping more than 950 million members connect, learn, sell, and get hired.

Here are a few takeaways from this report:

We saw fewer fake accounts compared to the previous period, 99.7 percent of which we blocked before members reported them. Authenticity matters on LinkedIn, and this year we released free verification features to LinkedIn members in Canada, India, Mexico, and the United States. This continues to be a priority for us and we will continue to share more updates in the months to come.

We saw an overall decrease in content that violates our policies compared to the previous reporting period. We saw a 23% increase in harassing and abusive content, which we attribute to improvements in our proactive detection.

We continue to work every day to create value and opportunity for our members and customers. As our world evolves, we will continue redefining work while embracing new AI technologies and safety features that help us keep LinkedIn safe, trusted, and professional.
