Viz Trio .: Improved video workflow

Upgrades to Viz Trios video player mean easier video loading and editing, a major feature in the latest release of the industry-leading character generator.

Viz Trio 3.1 features an HTML-based video player that will simplify working with video elements in the timeline editor. The inclusion of HTML technology will reduce time spent loading and editing videos, ultimately saving time for Viz Trio operators.

Easier to work with videos

Looping composite elements, marking in and out points, and adding overlay graphics are some of Viz Trios editing capabilities. This version of Viz Trio will improve various aspects of the video workflow and significantly streamline the handling of videos. A number of new macro commands were also added in this version to improve video handling and configuration.

An HTML-based video player also allows Viz Trio operators to edit video as it loads into the system. Whereas with previous Viz Trio versions operators had to wait until an entire video uploaded before they could begin editing, now they can get to work as soon as the upload begins. This will benefit time-strapped operators.

Other improvements

The release includes a number of other improvements, including the option to play interactive scenes in Viz Trios local preview window, loop video composite groups, and customize the local preview while using the same scenes for playout to retain consistency.

Other Viz Trio 3.1 features include:

Cut, copy and paste to the context menu of the pagelist and playlists

Use keyboard shortcuts to simplify zooming in the timeline editor

Use list view in the Viz Engine image browser

Select multiple images to import in the image editor

View channel information in the inline timecode monitor.

Show preparation simplified

Some elements of Viz Trio's graphical user interface have also been updated. In this version, the behaviour of the initialize and clean-up buttons has changed so that they now operate on the show and on all the playlists. This update simplifies the workflow in preparing a show for playout.
