Ningbo Summit of Chinese Businepeople in CEEC Held

The Ningbo Summit of Chinese Businesspeople in CEEC ( Central and Eastern European Countries) was held in Ningbo from June 7 to 9. Ningbo has become an attraction because of the summit with the theme of Gather business people's power, gather a better future and the opportunity brought by the 2nd China-CEEC Investment and Trade Expo.

The summit was hosted by Ningbo Government and The Foreign Affairs Office of Zhejiang Province and undertaken by FAO of Ningbo. The platform for the blend of wisdom and the communication in economy and trade will be established through the summit ,which focuses on the construction of One Belt, One Road Initiative of our country and its blend with Ningbo's goal of One Circle, Three Centers , thus strengthen Chinese business people, enhance the harmony among business groups and blend their wisdom. Mutual benefits and a win-win future will be achieved on the basis of One Belt One Road Initiative and subsequent discussions on economic growth.

The attractiveness of the summit improved by special activities

The following activities are included in this summit: The Ningbo summit of Chinese people in CEEC in 2016, Chinese Business People's visit to the park, communication and the participation of the second CEEC Investment and Trade Expo ,etc.

To ensure the sustainability of the communication between Ningbo and the Chinese businessman groups in CEC , the joint publication of The Devotion of Chinese businessmen in Central and Eastern European Countries to One Belt One Road ,Ningbo Initiative was made by Ningbo FAO with 32 Chinese businessmen groups in 10 Central and Eastern European Countries .Ningbo FAO also actively participated the China-CEEC financial and trade cooperation, which made unique and lasting contributions to the multidimensional and multifaceted communication between China and CEEC.

Ideas from 62 Businessman groups gathered in Ningbo

Now,288 Chinese businessmen from 62 businessman groups in 52 countries and regions have been invited to the summit. Of them , there are 10 Central and Eastern European Countries along with 105 Chinese business people. There are 26 associations including CCIRC , CCOA ,SCBA,CCIRC(Ningbo Branch ) etc. A number of prestigious businessman group leaders will be present , including Ding Jiansheng ,General of Wan Hua and Board Director of BC and ZhuZushou, President of China-Hungary Friendship Association. Ding s success is also called the first success of competitive overseas acquisition in Chinese history by foreign media.

In this summit, speeches on Ningbo's Open Policies, China-Central and Eastern Europe Trade facilitation Policies will be made by governmental leaders. Directors of all industrial parks and developmental areas will also be invited here for further communications on this platform.

According to the survey on overseas Chinese people done in 2013, there are 427 thousand Overseas Chinese people from 103 countries and regions (including compatriots in Hong Kong and Macaw )in Ningbo ,who are a valuable resource for the development of Ningbo and a boost to the establishment of Harbor Economic Circle, internationalization and its goal to being in the first notch of metropolises .

One Belt One Road Construction serves as an important opportunity for the further communication and blend among the regions on the Silk Road and mass civilians, whose spreader , contribution-maker and beneficiaries are the Overseas Chinese people.

The direct investment and participation in politics serve as the best proof of the nostalgia and care of Overseas Ningbo Business Groups to their home town and their support to the city construction. Significant contributions to the reform and opening of Ningbo and its economic and social development have been made by older overseas Ningbo Businessman Group members such as Bao Yugang ,Wang Chengkuan. By the end of 2015, 15442 foreign-invested enterprises have been ratified in Ningbo, 50 percent of which are funded by overseas Chinese. Ningbo Harbor Economic Cooperation Forum has been held 14 times since it was raised by Mr. Gu Guohua, member of Ningbo Business Group in the year 2002.At present,219 investment projects have been ratified along with 3846 Ningbo Harbor-funded Enterprises with a total investment volume of 1196.9 billion USD, which translated into great contributions of the cooperation among the fields including Economy , Education ,Health , technology ,etc.

Besides, numerous donations have been made to motherland and their hometown's social public welfare by Overseas Ningbo Group since 1984 , which translate to a total amount of more than 7 billion RMB nationwide with over 2200 welfare projects to Ningbo and a total amount of over 1.8 billion RMB.
