For many years film productions have employed a second camera tracking the main camera to give directors fast video playback without interrupting the main camera recording. This video assist facility has been a vital part of the production process and required additional video recorder and ancillary equipment. However, today with the Evolution ProPlus Production series, known as the Evolution P3 Series, the directors monitor has on board recording from the main camera and instant on-screen playback. Whats more, using optional SD-HC media cards the video recording can be reviewed and stored on a laptop computer, again saving time and money by eliminating a second recording device. These features are a world-first and the renowned Pinewood Studios rental house Movietech has been the first to adopt the Evolution P3 series monitors in the UK.

Available in 7 and 17 these latest innovations are world class monitors which push the boundaries forward for camera monitors. The revolution doesnt just end there as they also have further unique facilities such as on-board HDMI to HD-SDI conversion, which negates the need for external conversion boxes when shooting the popular DSLR cameras such as Canon 5D and 7D. There is also a special mode which allows users to view DSLR pictures at full size rather than the smaller, reduced size picture typically output on a viewfinder.

Evolution P3 monitors have an unprecedented range of facilities which saves time and can assist with better camera set up, with peaking, false colour and Y/C range checking as well as a histogram display, waveform monitor and vector display.
