Real-Time Social Graphics enhanced MTV's multi-platform live global broadcast of her new Medell n music video
Manchester 2019 - Never.no, the award-winning social engagement platform specialists, today announced the company's brand new Real-Time Social Graphics solution was used to deliver advanced visualisations and social content for MTV's exclusive globally televised unveil of Madonna's Live and Exclusive: Medell n' Video World Premiere on Wednesday 24 April. Broadcast live from five studios - Milan, Sao Paulo, Miami, New York City - and hosted in London, the Queen of Pop showcased her latest track to a live audience as it was broadcast across MTV's worldwide TV channels and digital platforms to nearly 180 countries.
Connected to each global studio via satellite feed, the 30-minute show included DJ Trevor Nelson and a live audience in London, accompanied by Medell n' collaborator Malumo in Miami and MTV's Sway Calloway and audience in New York. The audience - comprised of competition winners - was given the opportunity to ask Madonna about her latest music video and new album, and the creative forces behind her career. Producers of the show used Never.no's HTML5 based Real-Time Social Graphics solution to seamlessly embed lower-third graphics pulled from the Cloud and delivered in real-time to enhance engagement of the show.
The Never.no STORY social moderation tool, in conjunction with their Real-Time Social Graphics solution allowed us to deploy social messaging in our live show with speed and ease. We were able to make quick changes to the creative right up until broadcast, and allowed our moderator to select and drive the graphics on-air within a single workflow, said Alec Hendry, Senior Director, Technology Convergence, Viacom - Video Platform.
Never.no's Real-Time Social Graphics enables content producers to moderate and display UGC graphics outputs from a web browser. In addition to the platform's ability to work with traditional broadcast graphics engines, Never.no's HTML5 graphics solution provides an extra layer of flexibility to traditional TV broadcasters, as well as enabling those who use streaming services such as Facebook Live, Twitch or YouTube to benefit from the robustness of the Never.no STORY platform, which integrates live engagement from their audience into broadcasts. The graphic overlay is rendered directly in a web browser, meaning the user's computer becomes the graphic engine, making it an effective solution for managing digital signage and on-set event displays, without the need for expensive equipment.
The HTML5 solution provides high-quality broadcast graphics that suit all workflows and budgets, integrating into creative content with no fuss. Offering fully customisable graphics to suit individual needs, Real-Time Social Graphics includes a selection of off-the-shelf' template packages suitable for news, entertainment and sport - enhancing content and optimising workflows.
