Sony now provides photographers and filmmakers a new and powerful tool for creativity: the first full-frame lens with motorized zoom for E mount system cameras .
Designed and manufactured solid standards, the FE model F4 G 28-135mm PZ OSS (SELP28135G) offers enormous possibilities of expression for filmmakers and movie videos.
The SELP28135G model is compatible with all cameras and camcorders with Sony E mount. Its focal length reaches an even higher to 42-202,5mm (35mm equivalent) range when installed on devices with an APS-C sensor. For example, 6000 cameras / camcorders 5100 and Sony Super 35mm format, suitable for professionals, such as NEX-FS700 and the new PXW-FS7.
A constant F4 maximum aperture allows filmmakers and photographers achieve amazing effects with depth of field and exposure control stable throughout the zoom range, from wide angle to telephoto.
With the new design philosophy smooth motion Optics Sony are covered the needs of film professionals.
Furthermore, elements of aspherical lenses eliminate unwanted aberration, and advanced power technology multirevestimiento contrast and reduces glare, even in scenes with strong backlighting.
The handling and ergonomics of SELP28135G are inherited from Sonys professional cameras for television and radio and cinema. Three separate rings offer independent control over the focus, zoom and aperture (iris), with an excellent twist that ensures professional feel with a capacity of surprising answer. Even the tilt of the rings festooned with carefully designed touch control for comfortable grip.
Equipped with an SSM approach, for the first time in the industry, the zoom is exceptionally smooth and quiet, essential in the professional film production. Zoom speed can be precisely controlled over a wide range, and can change the rotation of the zoom to suit personal preference.
Furthermore, the approach noise is minimized by reducing the weight of the group of focusing elements and incorporate a dual linear motor with high responsiveness. As an added sophistication, focus mode can be switched from automatic to manual simply sliding the focus ring, without having to go groping to find the focus mode switch on full recording.
Its excellent optical performance and ease of handling are complemented by a rugged design to dust and moisture, so that the objective is suitable for outdoor use. Optical SteadyShot mechanism provides additional flexibility to ensure image stability during a shoot camera in hand. Despite his heavyweight credentials, the compact size and low weight of the lens are especially ideal in recordings where maximum mobility is required.
