Ttartup - First Round Winners are Fylet and Aventa+

TSstartup First Round Winners are Fylet and Aventa Ljubljana, 21 January In September of last year, Telekom Slovenije introduced TSstartup, its business accelerator, which offered selected young companies and developers opportunities for the development and implementation of innovative business services, which will help them make an entry into the market. Companies, teams, and individuals who develop online, mobile, and telecommunication services were invited to take part. After 4 months of intensive work, the 11 finalists from the business accelerator's first cycle presented their work to an expert committee, comprised of Sao Savi, Simon Furlan, Ale Speti, Mark Pleko, and Marko Jakli, which divided the 30,000 in prize money among the two teams Fylet (20,000) and Aventa (10,000).

The project developed by Fylet, whose team is made up of Dragoslav Radin, iga Zupanec, Predrag Krsti, and Petra Volk, deals with directly transferring photos between smartphones and computers. It is a service that automates many functions for photos and video footage, enabling simple transfer between phones and computers, while copies of the file remain on both devices. Transfer between devices is encrypted and direct, without going through the cloud.

The Aventa team is made up of Tine Hamler, Toma Orter, Smiljan Kereni, and Toma Nedeljko, who developed the new app Peekster, which works as a link between printed media and web content. Users can take a picture of the article they are reading and in an instant the app provides images, footage, similar articles, etc. from online sources. Aventa is convinced that Peekster is the long awaited proper solution for readers of traditional newspapers and magazines around the world.

Response in the first cycle of TSstartup was overwhelming, as a good 78 teams applied. The competition committee selected the 11 best teams from these, namely: Amplio, Aventa , DnA, FOOTURE, Fylet, GVision, Beer up, Povabi.si, Ribon, Sportfiq, and Stream.io.

As the first Slovenian telecommunications company, Telekom Slovenije wants its business accelerator to create an environment which stimulates technological and business innovation, with the possibility of using the company's existing infrastructure, where the exchange of opinions, know-how, and experience brings tangible results. The developers participating in the project have the additional opportunity of promoting and selling their solutions through Telekom Slovenije's sales channels, although participation in the project does not obligate them in any way. The TSstartup program is based on the principle of openness and development-orientation, as its main purpose is to create a stimulating development environment where everyone can realize their dreams, or find a suitable partner for implementation. The first round does not see the TSstartup project come to a close, as Telekom Slovenije has promised to continue the project. After a very successful first round with hardly a loser, even better response is expected in the next one.
