Dune Part 2 and Avatar colourists to take part in DaVinci Resolve Live Tour

Blackmagic Design is hosting a series of colour grading sessions across Europe next month.

The events are for filmmakers, editors, colourists, and visual effects artists, whether they're beginners and experienced users.

The first session, in Madrid on 6th June, will include colourist Tashi Trieu discussing his career and work on Avatar: The Way of the Water, Rub n Jim nez, founder of RBG Escuela, will explore how to stand out when everyone's a creator, and Laura Nogales (Movistar KOI) will talk about redefining genres in esports and digital entertainment.

The events in Amsterdam (14th June) and Berlin (20th June) will see a senior colourist from FotoKem talking about about working with Denis Villeneuve and Greig Fraser on Dune Part 2. Other panels include pushing the boundaries of technology for creativity as an indie filmmaker with Second Tomorrow's Nguyen-Anh Nguyen, and Sean Viljoen will explore lens to grade workflows for natural history and wildlife filmmaking.

A dedicated Expo Zone will let attendees get up close with the latest cameras, Blackmagic Cloud and DaVinci Resolve panels, keyboards and consoles with third-party manufacturers including HP, AMD, Dolby and Dell all on hand to offer advice on building an ideal DaVinci Resolve system.
