Searle Street Post s Daniel Mitchell up for Editing SAFTA

At The South African Film and Television Awards (SAFTA), Searle Street Post's Daniel Mitchell is nominated for Best Achievement in Editing - Documentary Feature for Unearthed. In all, Searle Street Post worked on four nominated projects, which are shortlisted for a combined 23 awards.

Unearthed, Jolynn Minnaar's anti-fracking documentary, won the Audience Award at Encounters South African International Documentary Festival, as well as the Green Award at the Sheffield Doc/Fest 2014, selected by a jury that included Oscar-winner Roger Ross Williams (Music By Prudence) and Emmy-winner Joe Berlinger (Paradise Lost trilogy). Stage 5 Films produced Unearthed.

Ian Gabriel's Four Corners has 13 nominations, including Best Film, Best Directing, Best Editing and Best Cinematography. Searle Street Post's David Grant handled the digital intermediate and the grade for Giant Films, while Searle Street Post was also responsible for all deliverables.

Born Free Media's 90 Plein Street has seven nominations, including Best TV Drama, Best Directing, and Best Editing.

In the documentary category, Khalo Matabane's Nelson Mandela: The Myth & Me is up for Best Cinematography and Best Sound.

Searle Street Post's Craig Parker graded both 90 Plein Street and Nelson Mandela: The Myth & Me, while Searle Street Post also facilitated the editorial, online and copies.
