NBC Sports Launches National Sunday MLB Coverage Beginning May 3

NBC Sports will air national MLB coverage on Sundays beginning May 3, with MLB Sunday Leadoff on Peacock and NBCSN at 12:30 p.m. ET, followed by the debut of the Sunday Stretch whip-around show on Peacock, leading into Sunday Night Baseball at 7 p.m. ET on Peacock and NBCSN.

Sunday Night Baseball: Rangers at Tigers

Jason Benetti will call Sunday Night Baseball from Comerica Park, joined by Dan Petry - a 1985 AL All-Star and 1984 World Series champion with the Tigers, now an analyst for Tigers telecasts - and former Major League pitcher Mike Bacsik, a Rangers analyst since 2024. Ahmed Fareed hosts the pregame show alongside Anthony Rizzo, who will also provide Inside the Pitch commentary during the game.

The Tigers rank third in the American League in hits (244) and batting average (.253), with rookie shortstop Kevin McGonigle leading the team at .330, third highest in the Majors. The Rangers carry a 3.60 combined ERA, second best in the AL.

Rizzo, a three-time All-Star and four-time Gold Glove winner, caught the final out of the 2016 World Series for the Cubs and hit 303 home runs over 14 seasons. He will serve as an analyst for NBC Sports' MLB coverage throughout the regular season and its exclusive MLB Postseason coverage of all Wild Card games on NBC, Peacock, and NBCSN.

MLB Sunday Leadoff: Blue Jays at Twins

Matt Vasgersian will call Blue Jays-Twins from Target Field at 12:30 p.m. ET, joined by Dexter Fowler (2016 World Series champion, Cubs) and Justin Morneau (2006 AL MVP, Twins Hall of Fame member). Vladimir Guerrero Jr., tied for second in the AL in batting average (.330), leads the Blue Jays against Byron Buxton and the Twins.

Sunday Stretch

The Sunday Stretch whip-around show debuts on Peacock this Sunday, produced in collaboration with MLB Network. The show will feature look-ins at live and replay action across Major League Baseball every Sunday following MLB Sunday Leadoff.

Peacock MLB Hub

Peacock will feature a dedicated MLB Hub with live games, team hubs, and highlights. Features include Catch Up with Key Plays, Live in Browse, and MLB Live Picks, a mobile prediction game. Spanish-language coverage will be provided in partnership with Telemundo and Universo.
