Dailymotion, one of the world's biggest video platforms, is now available through PlayStation 4 (PS4 ) via a new app designed for users of this iconic game console.
The app enables PS4 users to enjoy the full Dailymotion experience from their TV through an easy-to-use and intuitive navigation system that is designed to make content discovery as easy as possible. Users can search Dailymotion's catalogue based on their interests, whether that is sports, gaming, fashion, film or many others. Once they start to watch videos the app will suggest video playlists based on what has been viewed and tailored to a user's preferences.
The app has been designed to appeal to PS4 users, so includes a section to watch live and gaming video content. This includes streams of the most popular gaming broadcasts currently onair on Dailymotion and the ability to filter live streams by users' favorite games.
For a truly personalized experience, users can login or quickly sign up to a Dailymotion account directly from the app. Once an account is set up, a tailored newsfeed based on subscriptions will be revealed and users can retrieve all their activity on Dailymotion, including their uploaded videos, playlists and favorites. The app also has the option to connect using Facebook, and login to Dailymotion using a Facebook account. Then users can automatically share their favorite videos via their Facebook feed.
The video playback is HLS streaming using built-in custom player. It offers full controls for users to play, pause, fast-forward and rewind. Users can also quickly access more details about a specific video and quickly find related content.
