SABC2 has launched a new drama series Karavaan, which stars popular actors Denver Vraaghom, Kurt Egelhof, etc., and will premiere on Tuesday 8 November.

BACKGROUND OF NEW DRAMA SERIES KARAVAAN' According to Daily Sun, the new SABC2 drama series Karavaan is about the journey of rediscovery and finding the true meaning of life all over again. It stars Kurt Egelhof, Elsabe Danee, Albert Maritz and Ivan Abrahams and Denver Vraaghom as Pretty Boy.

The show is about rediscovery and finding the true meaning of life all over again. Audiences will get to see friends Hennie, Renske, Gert, and Marshall travel in a car and a battered caravan. The long-time friends will face obstacles along the way and get to understand the idea of growing old.

CHARACTERS IN THE SABC2 DRAMA SERIES Daily Sun adds that Kurt Egelhof will play the character of Hennie the widower, Albert Maritz will play Gert, a stroke survivor living in a care facility, and Elsabe Daneel will play Renske, an empathetic widow and Ivan Abrahams will play Marshall, a widower clinging onto the memory of his late wife.

According to a press statement from News24,

Karavaan features Kurt Egelhof as Hennie (a widower who wants to live a simple, quiet life with economic freedom); Albert Meritz as Gert Marais (a stroke survivor now living in a frail care facility); Elsabe Daneel as Renske Minaar (an artistic, eccentric, lively, quirky, and empathetic widow who loves people and follows her own rules) and Ivan Abrahams as Marshal Jones (a widower desperately clinging to the memory of his late wife - for him, death is almost something to look forward to), a press statement reads.

Former 7de Laan actor Denver Vraaghom will play a Pretty Boy, who can't take responsibility for anything and loves karaoke king.

Audiences will see a lot of emotional struggle, discovery, and acceptance between the characters in Karavaan.

The upcoming drama series will premiere on Tuesday, 8 November at 19:30 and it's a 13-part series.
