Rock legend Tina Turner recently passed away due to natural causes, at the age of 83

Turner was a legendary singer known for her powerful voice and electrifying performances.
RISE OF TINA TURNER The American-born singer was also known as the Queen of Rock n' Roll . Tina rose to fame as the lead singer of the Ike & Tina Turner Revue before launching a successful career as a solo artist.
Turner was renowned for her swagger, sensuality, powerful vocals and unstoppable energy.

GOING SOLO After separating from Ike in 1978, Tina launched one of the greatest comebacks in music history.
Her 1984 multi-platinum album Private Dancer featuring the track What's Love Got to Do with It , won the Grammy Award for Record of the Year and became Tina's first and only number-one song on the Billboard Hot 100.

Her chart success continued with Better Be Good to Me , Private Dancer , We Don't Need Another Hero (Thunderdome) , Typical Male , The Best , I Don't Wanna Fight , and GoldenEye .
RECORD-BREAKING CONCERTS Turner was flying high in the 1980s, selling millions of albums as well as drawing huge audiences to her concerts.
During her Break Every Rule World Tour in 1988, she set a then-Guinness World Record for the largest paying audience for a solo performer.
An audience of 180 000 people watched the star belting out her hits and strutting her legs on stage in Rio de Janeiro, in 1988.
