Imagine Communications will demonstrate its latest solutions for dynamic advertising, media architectures and the IP transition at BroadcastAsia 2019 (18 20 June, Suntec Singapore, stand number 4C2-04). Experts from Imagine's extensive team in the Asia Pacific region will be joined by subject leaders to provide in-depth support for businesses looking for migration strategies that allow them to advance their technological platforms to next-generation architecture and business models. This approach enables media companies to shape their transition to an IP-connected, software-defined future at their own pace.
The current wave of technology innovation is reducing operational costs and increasing monetisation opportunities for media companies in Southeast Asia, the Pacific Rim and around the world, said Jason Cheng, who recently joined Imagine Communications as Technical Sales Manager, OTT Digital Advertising, APAC. Our close work with so many of the APAC region's top media businesses has shaped the development of new products, solutions and systems that are helping our customers deliver compelling content across every platform and create new advertising models that are driving business success.
At BroadcastAsia, Imagine Communications will show two key components that are transforming linear and OTT advertising: the Broadcast Master suite, which allows automation and error-free management of daily operations; and Targeted Delivery solutions for OTT and Linear distribution, which can increase ROI and optimise the ability of MVPDs, broadcasters and programmers to take advantage of new dynamic advertising revenue opportunities.
Imagine's Broadcast Master is a comprehensive suite of modular and scalable management solutions for linear and nonlinear rights, sales, scheduling and media giving broadcasters the power, flexibility and automation capabilities needed to drive productivity and revenue. Targeted Delivery solutions for OTT support a wide variety of content distribution environments and service offerings including video streaming from any Internet-centric or on-demand source, integrated linear/nonlinear operations, and cloud DVR or time-shifted content applications as well as blackout and alternate content functions. Targeted Delivery solutions for linear distribution enable media companies to break free of the high costs and inflexible hardware of legacy systems; drive higher CPMs through increased targeting and regionalisation capabilities; and replace advertisements in real time to help sponsors adapt to rapid marketplace shifts.
As media technical infrastructures for live production, master control and playout migrate towards software-centric designs with IP connectivity, Imagine Communications continues to provide reasoned support for broadcasters making a self-paced transition from traditional hardware, with products which can both plug and play with legacy systems and form the foundation of a fully virtualised, cloud and IP-ready future.
Demonstrations at BroadcastAsia 2019 will include the latest in playout functionality built on the Versio modular playout platform. Providing all the functionality of a channel in software on commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) hardware, Versio seamlessly fits into any architecture, making it an ideal platform for media companies to expand existing operations, confident that it will provide full performance in a future software-defined network.
Versio is built on Imagine Communications' revolutionary Zenium microservices architecture, which allows precise functionality to be built, using COTS devices or specialised hardware platforms, minimising unnecessary processing cycles, power, rack space and demands for air conditioning. Other microservices-based solutions will be shown at BroadcastAsia, including the very popular EPIC MV multiviewer which provides unrivalled monitoring power. New functionality includes the ability to output compressed transport streams for remote or IP distribution of display mosaics, and the interpretation and display of a wide range of alarms to aid exceptional monitoring. The EPIC MV software also now supports the latest generation of HPE servers for maximum performance.
Now widely recognised as the most flexible and efficient platform for video and audio processing, as well as IP connectivity, the Selenio Network Processor (SNP) will also be featured at the BroadcastAsia stand. This compact, standards-based IP media processing platform enables system designers to simplify operations and reduce costs, supporting both SDI and IP networks. In conjunction with the Magellan SDN Orchestrator, a field-proven software control layer, architects can create highly agile solutions, ready to take advantage of the inherent flexibility of virtualised software systems, while retaining broadcast standards of performance and reliability.
