At this years ANGA COM event in Cologne, Motama will present the latest extensions of its server suite for both Internet/Over-The-Top streaming.
As a major new feature, all Motama CodecCaster transcoders are now Dolby certified. This allows for converting high-quality live streams with Dolby Digital or Dolby Digital Plus audio to AAC format, which is a major requirement for adaptive streaming protocols like HTTP Live Streaming (HLS) and for reducing the bandwidth for Internet streaming or in wireless networks.
Dolby support is available for all newly purchased CodecCaster products as well as for existing customers. Motama offers a special discount of 25% for all orders of this feature placed until the end of ANGA COM. Please contact us for terms and conditions.
Motama will also showcase support for burned-in DVB subtitles and Teletext subtitles for Internet/OTT streaming, which allows service providers to fulfill the legal requirements fur subtitling. While new emerging standards for subtitles are not yet widely supported on client devices, Motamas approach for adding subtitles to the actual content directly offers 100% compatibility for all existing devices.
Motama latest feature extensions also enables audio/video content, such as short commercial clips and graphics, to be overlaid on any type of live content. This enables regional ad-replacement as well as augmenting existing content with advertisements.
The complete product line of Motama consisting of TVCaster, CodecCaster, RelayCaster, and PolyCaster will be demonstrated together with partner products, such as set-top boxes of ABOX42 and Albis Technologies, and middleware of Beenius.
