Amdocs and SeaChange Partner to Help Service Providers Introduce and Monetize Multi-Screen TV Services
Collaboration to Speed Delivery of Personalized Video-on-Demand and Advertising to TV Set-Tops, PCs and Mobile Devices for a Compelling Customer Experience

WASHINGTON, DC -- At The Cable Show 2013, Amdocs (NYSE: DOX), the leading provider of customer experience systems and services, and SeaChange International (NASDAQ: SEAC), a leading global multi-screen video software innovator, announced their partnership to offer service providers, globally, the first holistic solution for establishing multi-screen TV operations. Combining SeaChange and Amdocs software and services, the solution covers the deployment of video streaming capabilities, through the management of the associated customer experience, to monetization of these services.
Service providers will be able to leverage Amdocs' systems integration and testing services' best practices, based on its experience working with several of the world's largest cable, satellite and multi-play service providers, to speed deployment of SeaChange software. As a result, more service providers will be able to introduce next generation video services, such as personalized, multi-screen video and targeted advertising. Service providers will also be able to expand their deployment with market-leading network control and business and operational support systems (BSS and OSS) from the Amdocs CES product portfolio to ensure a superior multi-play experience and best monetize their video assets.
Service providers are looking to move into the pay TV space or enhance existing TV operations with multi-screen capabilities to address surging demand for video content over any device, said Norm Bogen, vice president of global research, Multimedia Research Group. Deployments in the market are gaining steam but integration of these new capabilities into the service provider's complex systems environment can slow the momentum. The Amdocs SeaChange partnership brings together two strong brands to help service providers move forward more quickly.
Having deployed next generation pay TV capabilities, service providers still need to integrate them into a BSS and OSS environment that offers convergent support for multi-play operations if they are to stand out from the competition in terms of their ability to bundle and personalize services and plan and monetize resources, said Rebecca Prudhomme, vice president of product and solutions marketing, Amdocs. Amdocs' partnership with SeaChange introduces a solution that allows service providers to achieve this, cost-efficiently.
For service providers, tablet viewing is becoming table stakes, supported by the breadwinner, advertising, as consumption of video-on-demand services at the home or on the move continues to rise dramatically, said Alan Hoff, vice president, Strategic Marketing, SeaChange. Together, SeaChange and Amdocs will help service providers better compete for viewers with high value, multi-screen services, targeted advertising and a highly compelling customer experience.
The Amdocs SeaChange partnership was signed under the Amdocs Enreach program. Led by the Amdocs CTO office, the program is designed to deliver more value to Amdocs' customers around the world by harnessing innovation from partner companies in combination with the Amdocs CES product portfolio. The innovative SeaChange software helps service providers create multi-screen, video-on-demand and advertising revenue streams with modular, open software which provides a pipeline from content intake and management at the service provider's operation through personalized presentation and streaming to any device subscribers choose.
