New JVC Multi-Format LCD Monitors Ideal for Critical Image Evaluation

JVC Professional Video, a division of JVCKENWOOD USA Corporation, today announced new multi-format LCD production monitors designed for critical image evaluation for studio, field, and master control applications. The new DT-V G2 line includes the 16.5-inch DT-V17G25Z, which is a near EBU Grade 1 LCD monitor, as well as the 24-inch DT-V24G2Z, 21.5-inch DT-V21G2Z, and 16.5-inch DT-V17G2Z models. JVC will demonstrate the new monitors at the NAB Show New York , which runs Nov. 9-10 at the Javits Convention Center.

The DT-V17G25Z and DT-V24G2Z each feature a 10-bit IPS panel, wide gamma range, 1500:1 contrast ratio, and integrated toolset. All models monitor up to 16 channels of embedded audio, while a new Lissajous meter displays the stereo field of a signal and shows possible phase issues. Other built-in features include a waveform monitor, vectorscope, histogram, zebra, four gamma preset modes, and a variety of on-screen markers. Two function keys allow users to save customized functions. All monitors deliver 1920x1080 resolution except the DT-V24G2Z, which has 1920x1200 (WUXGA) resolution.

JVC has improved the gamma and grayscale of the DT-V G2 series to produce incredibly accurate colors, and added new technology specifically designed to eliminate digital aliasing and create more natural looking images, said Craig Yanagi, product marketing manager, JVCKENWOOD USA. These cost-efficient monitors have all the tools you need to critically evaluate your content on location and in the control or edit room.

The versatile monitors support an extensive list of video formats including 3G-SDI and Dual Link with dual HD-SDI inputs, as well as HDMI, component, and composite connectivity. Other features include color temperature settings, time code display, SDI closed captioning support, built-in stereo speakers, and a tilt desk stand with two-way installation capability. The DT-V17G25Z and DT-V17G2Z also include a carrying handle.
