IMAGENICS Joins SDVoE Alliance posted: 26/10/2021
NEX-SMART line of CAT6A and fiber transmitters, receivers and control units are built on SDVoE technology
The SDVoE Alliance today announced that IMAGENICS, a leading Japanese developer and manufacturer of audio/video solutions, has joined the SDVoE Alliance as an adopting member. The company's NEX-SMART series of products is built on SDVoE technology and includes CAT6A, single-mode optical fiber and multi-mode optical fiber transmitters and receivers, control units, and Windows configuration applications.
As we roll out our 4K products, we have been looking for a stable, low-latency video solution that can be transmitted over long distances. We believe that the SDVoE format is a perfect fit for this, and we are confident that we will be able to offer many creative system solutions to our customers, said Kouichi Hasegawa, president of IMAGENICS. There is no doubt that SDVoE has a great future, and we hope to use this news as a starting point to develop more products that comply with the SDVoE platform.
We welcome IMAGENICS to the SDVoE Alliance and congratulate them on the occasion of their 40th anniversary in the AV industry, said Justin Kennington, president of the SDVoE Alliance. We look forward to seeing their NEX-SMART products deployed in interesting and exciting installations through Japan and beyond.
All AV distribution and processing applications that demand zero-latency and uncompromised video can benefit from SDVoE technology, which provides an end-to-end hardware and software platform for AV extension, switching, processing and control through advanced chipset technology, common control APIs and interoperability. SDVoE network architectures are based on off-the-shelf Ethernet switches, thus offering substantial cost savings and greater system flexibility and scalability over traditional approaches, such as point-to-point extension and circuit-based AV matrix switching.

About the SDVoE Alliance
SDVoE is an initialism for Software Defined Video over Ethernet . The SDVoE Alliance is a nonprofit consortium of technology providers collaborating to standardize the adoption of Ethernet to transport AV signals in professional AV environments and to create an ecosystem around SDVoE technology allowing software to define AV applications. The alliance operates the free SDVoE Academy training platform, participates in tradeshows and conferences, publishes white papers and case studies and promotes SDVoE technology, and solutions based on the technology, to system integrators, designers, consultants and end users. Steering members of the SDVoE Alliance are Black Box, Christie Digital, IDK Corporation, NETGEAR, Semtech and ZeeVee. All interested parties are invited to join the alliance and work toward its goals.
