Rohde & Schwarz and Tata Power Strategic Engineering Division have signed a MoU The two companies are pursuing cooperation for Terrestrial Radio Communication solutions using Software Defined Radios to address the requirements of various projects of Indian Government New Delhi, India (Oct 08, 2015) - Rohde & Schwarz, a German high tech-tech company that has stood for more than 80 years for quality, precision and innovation in all fields of wireless communications, and Tata Power's Strategic Engineering Division (Tata Power SED), a proven and well-established System Integrator in the Indian Defense Industry, have announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). It is part of their pursuit in Terrestrial Radio Communication using Software Defined Radios to address the requirements of various projects of Indian Government. Rohde & Schwarz has on its account vast experience of SDR projects for the German Armed forces and internationally, whereas Tata Power SED has required insight of the Indian requirements & capability within the group needed for MAKE in INDIA approach. The synergies of the two will be extremely beneficial in the programs. The intention is to address the requirements in MAKE, Buy and Make (Indian) categories of the applicable Defence Procurement Procedure (DPP) aiming co-development and manufacturing in India to support MAKE in INDIA. In addition, the two parties will also explore the intention to cooperate in the fields of Test & Measurement solutions.
