The Cannes Film Festival March du Film 2014 Market Readiness Workshop

The Association for Transformation in Film and Television (ATFT) is facilitating an export market readiness workshop on the March du Film at the Cannes Film Festival in Johannesburg, Durban, Nelson Mandela Bay (PE) and Cape Town.

As part of our mandate to up skill our members in financing, distribution, sales and co-production. ATFT will host four workshops in preparation for the March du Film taking place between the 14th - 23th of May 2014 in Cannes, France. The workshops are open to any interested parties, but are essential to delegates attending this market.

Please share this callout with anyone you deem relevant and attend in person if you can or send someone to observe. The workshops will be split into two parts and the days programme will be as follows:

09h00-12h00 : The morning session is an introduction to ATFT and how our delegations work, as well as an introduction to the March du Film market and is for anyone who has never attended the March du Film before. We will also explain the DTI EMIA scheme used to finance the delegations to attend these markets and how to apply through ATFT or as individual companies through the Individual Exhibitor scheme.

12h00-13h00 : Lunch

13h00-16h00 : The afternoon session is an advanced session on international feature film financing, sales, distribution and co-production and on how to make the most of the March du Film Market and attract investment to your project or sell finished films.

16h00-17h00 : Those who wish to stay behind and ask the facilitator any additional or private questions regarding their products or the March du Film Market may do so in this hour, as well as socialise with other workshop attendees.

The March du Film workshops will be facilitated by Art House Indie Producer Ashley Horner, a member of Ateliers du Cin ma Europ en (ACE) and an experienced producer and director of arthouse cinema and the Cannes Film Festival circuit (IMDB Link http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0395091/).
