ZEISS Interlock : ZEISS Introduces New Focal Lengths for Industrial Lenses

OBERKOCHEN/Germany, 18.10.2017.

ZEISS is launching five new focal lengths for industrial applications: the ZEISS Interlock 1.4/50, 1.4/85, 1.4/25,1.4/35 and 2/35. These extremely high-speed lenses feature quick shutter speeds, which often increases process efficiency. For example: these lenses can speed up quality control by up to 30%. "We are expanding our lens family with these new, extremely powerful industrial lenses, and are offering a broad portfolio for different applications with a total of eleven different focal lengths. This is a real boon for our customers," says Till W. Bleibaum from ZEISS.

ZEISS Interlock impresses with its robust design

The ZEISS Interlock lenses are available with either an F-mount, EF-mount or M42x1 mount, and are suitable for full-format sensors and 41 mm linescan sensors. The fixture for the lenses is equipped with multiple screws, enabling you to securely clamp the aperture and focus. This is particularly beneficial in production environments with machine vibrations, and it ensures that the images are in focus. The new focal lengths provide edge-to-edge sharpness. "These lenses have low levels of distortion," explains Bleibaum. "This way you can measure different-sized objects from various distances with great precision." The lenses sturdy metal design is also engineered to withstand rough conditions, including crash tests in the automotive industry. The ZEISS T* anti-reflective coating prevents irritating reflections and provides optimum contrast with minimal vignetting, making the new lenses well-suited for reading barcodes on uneven or reflective surfaces.

The new industrial lenses in the ZEISS Interlock family will be available starting 24 October 2017. A list of distribution partners can be found on the ZEISS website. Prices and other technical data are available upon request.

Consumer Optics
