The Associated Press today launched a bold new look and user interface for AP ENPS Mobile with the power of real-time updates. Journalists on the move will become more connected to their newsroom wherever they are, never missing a wire or a breaking story.

Unveiled to customers at IBC2013 in Amsterdam, AP ENPS Mobile now supports automatic real-time updates, reflecting content changes to mobile devices as they happen in the newsroom.

Whether out in the field or on the move in the newsroom, journalists will be able to see in real time wires appearing, changes to the running order and scripts, without needing to hit refresh'. This will help newsrooms operate more efficiently by offering journalists increased flexibility.

The look and feel of the updated AP ENPS Mobile mirrors the current ENPS v7 client, allowing users to transition seamlessly between the two systems and remain focused on the story, not the technology.

Mobile access to the news production system is essential for today's news workflow said Lee Perryman, Director of AP ENPS. Real-time updates in this new version is a key advance in mobile functionality. ENPS version 7 is also updated with new features designed to make ENPS even more useful, including:

Story-centric social media integration with Facebook and Twitter means users can interact easily with audiences.

The Storyboard collaboration tool maximizes newsgathering resources and allows users to organize and share content effortlessly on any story across the newsroom or with colleagues around the world.

Add external content (emails, PDFs, Word documents, etc.) to daily planning information with ease.

Simpler macros editor allows users to automate complex or repetitive tasks.
