Mobile TV Group has rolled out its latest mobile unit - 56FLEX - to serve Chicago Sports Network in bringing world-class broadcasts of the Chicago White Sox, Chicago Bulls, and Chicago Blackhawks to fans in the greater Chicagoland area.
At Chicago Sports Network, our focus is on delivering high-quality, compelling broadcasts that match the energy of the teams and fans we represent, said Joe Riley, EVP, Production, Programming and Broadcast Operations, CHSN. 56FLEX has supported that mission by providing the tools and flexibility needed to execute consistently across multiple venues and sports. From the White Sox to the Bulls and Blackhawks, it has helped us maintain the level of production our viewers expect.
When a mobile unit departs Mobile TV Group's headquarters in Englewood, Colorado, it is fully equipped with the best technology the live production industry has to offer and is ready to make a positive impact on both the broadcasting and viewing experience and 56FLEX is no exception.
Equipped with a Grass Valley Kayenne K-Frame XP Switcher, Evertz NATX IP Router, RTS ADAM-M Matrix System, EVS XT-VIA Servers, Sony HDC-5500 SSMO Cameras with Canon lenses, a CALREC Artemis console, and more, 56FLEX delivers flexibility and reliability to the broadcast team on game day. The majority of its broadcasts for Chicago Sports Network have been produced in stunning 1080p HDR, ensuring an enhanced viewing experience for fans both at home and on the go.
56FLEX includes a Visitor Mobile Unit (VMU) that enables dual-feed productions of the game either on-site or from a Cloud Control room MTVG's flagship remote production solution.
56FLEX's inaugural broadcast was for the Los Angeles Angels vs. Chicago White Sox on March 27, 2025. Since then, it has delivered 57 home broadcasts to Chicago Sports Network's viewers and will continue to do so throughout the White Sox, Blackhawks, and Bulls seasons moving forward.
