Pablo Rio powers on at Spark [FWD] with Emily Carr University

Quantels high quality color and finishing system on show at Vancouvers premier event on advanced imaging and visual effects

31 January 2014: Quantel is partnering with the leading Western Canada art, media and design educational institution, Emily Carr University of Art and Design, to bring Pablo Rio to the Spark [FWD] 2014 conference, film festival and job fair, which is taking place in Vancouver between the 5th and 8th February 2014.

Organized jointly by the Emily Carr University of Art + Design and the Spark CG Society, Spark [FWD] is Vancouvers premier event on advanced imaging and visual effects, and brings together professionals and students in a five day event that helps promote everything thats great about our industry. Emily Carr University will be there throughout, demonstrating their Quantel Pablo 4K undertaking HFR color and finishing work in 2D and 3D, supported by Quantel.

In addition, Dale Codling, a highly experienced and successful colorist, editor and vfx artist whose work has encompassed high profile print, TV and film commercials as well as 2D and 3D movies for over 20 years, will be leading free a workshop on Saturday 8th February entitled "Getting Creative with Pablo Rio". Dale Codling will show how to take advantage of the Pablo Rio 4Ks intuitive interface, abilities, and also the turnkey systems horsepower.

Dales workshop will cover editing, compositing, color grading, stereoscopic 3D, HFR and also 4K and beyond. Attendees can discover what sort of problems creative users may face, and learn how Dale would tackle them on one of the most high-performing post production solutions available. More details>
