Learfield Acquires GoVision

Learfield has acquired GoVision - a provider of mobile and modular LED video technology to many of the country's major sports, concerts, and racing events.

GoVision is a terrific company with an innovative and entrepreneurial spirit, said Learfield President and CEO Greg Brown. The services and equipment they provide help bring events to life and it will be a fantastic addition to capabilities we can provide our partners.

The transaction, the terms of which are confidential, takes effect immediately. The company will continue to operate under the GoVision name and brand, and all current employees will remain with the firm. Curtis will report to Learfield COO Marc Jenkins.

Notably, GoVision recently completed a breath-taking installation of the world's largest outdoor, permanent, center-hung digital display, dubbed Colossus, for Panasonic and the Bristol Motor Speedway, site of college football's September 10 Pilot-Flying J Battle at Bristol featuring Tennessee and Virginia Tech. Argyle, Texas-based GoVision was founded in 2002 and has evolved into a premier, full-service provider of large-scale LED video displays and related services, including production, creative content, custom design, fabrication and installation. Its cutting-edge technologies and services currently are being integrated into nearly 1,000 major sporting events, concerts, festivals and corporate events around the world.

Many of our schools and other partners organize and stage huge events every week and our new association with GoVision will equip us and our clients with the ability to add excitement and new entertainment capabilities to these incredible games and events, noted Jenkins.
