Nearly four of every ten Spaniards see audiovisual content online at least once a week Young people between 16 and 24 years consume more audiovisual content via mobile phone to the television. Netflix users homes doubled in six months and reach the 540.000.
According to the latest data from the household Panel of the National Commission of the markets and the competition (CNMC) for the four quarter of 2016, the time spent by the Spanish to view audiovisual content has hardly changed in the last year and ranges between 3 or 4 hours a day of television and 20-25 minutes of the tablet.
Larger individuals are more hours passed in front of television and computer screens, spend less time tablets or mobile to consume video content. For example, young people aged 16 to 24 spend more hours with the mobile phone that with television.
In addition, according to the household Panel of CNMC, nearly four of every ten Spaniards saw audiovisual content online at least once a week, and half of them saw reissues of television programs. In terms of television la carte most used platforms, Atresplayer continues in first place (46%), followed by RTVE.es (39%) and MiTele (37%).
On the other hand, in terms of payment services for online audiovisual content platform, Yomvi (or Movistar Movistar +), in the devices is still most used by households (7.6%). However, the behavior of Netflix which has practically doubled its users in half a year is especially striking and is used by 3.4% of households with Internet access, i.e. by about 540,000 households in Spain. In third place is Wuaki, which has hardly changed in the last six months.
Finally, the question of why Spaniards watch TV, 9 of every 10 ensure for pure leisure and entertainment. Which are connected to the TV for information are 62% and to learn only 2 of every 10. All of them are similar to the of the previous wave numbers.
Video calls rise flight
The CNMC report shows that 77% of users who have a smartphone use it several times a day. Without a doubt, WhatsApp is the King, and is used by 9 of every ten Internet users. In addition, the application is unrivalled in our country in messaging because Facebook Messenger and 8% 24% used Skype.
Online phone and video calls are taking flight, and in 2016, this service was commonly used by nearly half of Internet users, but there are more users of WhatsApp (30%), between Skype (15%) and Facebook Messenger (8%) together.
Eight out of every ten Internet users commonly used social networks, and in this case, Facebook was the preferred application (65%). Follows Instagram (24%), whose users grew up in 2016 (5.4 percent) and that for the first time occupied the second place in this section. Similar figures are + Google and Twitter that hardly varied in the past year.
The use of Internet among Spaniards continues upward: stands at 82 per cent, and in 2016 users grew by 6 points.

El Panel de Hogares CNMC sobre usos de Internet audiovisual y OTT recoge por primera vez la utilizaci n de bloqueadores de publicidad por parte de los internautas: casi 2 de cada diez confiesan que los usan, y un n mero algo mayor (23,3%) desconoce su existencia.
