Philippines ABS CBN Amps up Content Quality and Workflow Efficiency with Interra Systems CUPERTINO, Calif. June 12, 2014
Interra Systems, the leading provider of media analysis solutions for digital content, today announced that the Philippines' largest and leading multimedia conglomerate, ABS CBN Corporation, has selected the company's Baton automated file-based QC solution. ABS CBN will use Baton to improve the quality of its content and to improve operational efficiency by streamlining content hand over between different departments and managing content QC at multiple stages.
ABS CBN is the oldest and the leading television network in Philippines and produces a wide variety of engaging, world-class entertainment programs in multiple genres and balanced, credible news programs broadcast on free-to-air television.
After a detailed evaluation of several QC systems, ABS CBN selected Baton for its enterprise wide scalability and workflow adaptability required by our growing organization. The Baton system also integrated very well with our existing MAM, automation and storage systems, stated Mr. Deo Jordan, Head of Digital Broadcast, ABS CBN. Our work flow requires quality control at various stages of production, and Baton provides the flexibility to identify errors that are relevant at each stage. It also allows us to allocate processing speed in a way that minimizes latency and maximizes efficiency of our operations.
Baton has been a preferred choice of broadcasters, content providers and broadcast services organizations in the APAC region such as Fox International Channels, VTV Vietnam, Globecast Asia and Sony PCL.
Baton provides full and accurate quality checks for audio issues, format problems and metadata, helping ABS CBN save a great deal of time automating its QC processes, said Sanjay Mittal, Managing Director, Asia, of Interra Systems. These new workflow efficiencies will also result in better video and audio quality for ABS CBN viewers.
Interra Systems will be demonstrating the Baton file-based QC solution at the Broadcast Asia Show, June 17-20, in booth 5L5-01.
