SIOUX FALLS, S.D., September 30, 2013 -- Sencore delivers new HEVC analysis capabilities in its Compressed Media Analyzer CMA 1820. The CMA 1820 is the ultimate tool for in-depth analysis of compressed media transport streams. Customers can see a live demonstration of the new HEVC analysis functionality at the SCTE Cable-Tec Expo in Atlanta in October.
Sencore Quote:
HEVC analysis is critical as developers look to take advantage of this bandwidth saving technology. We are seeing tremendous demand for encoder and decoder development and evaluation, the CMA allows for deeper inspection, frame-by-frame breakout, coding tree block structure, full header syntax, PTS/DTS timing and A/V sync analysis. said Jeff Briden, Vice President Product Management at Sencore.
The Sencore CMA 1820 enables designers, engineers, system integrators, and network operators to quickly and easily verify standards compliance, identify media interoperability issues, develop products around new CODECs, and troubleshoot transmission issues. With full support for HEVC/H.265, H.264, MPEG2, and VC-1 video along with AC-3, AAC, and MPEG audio, the CMA 1820 is well-suited for use with all contemporary broadcast equipment. Enhanced options such as closed caption subtitle, SCTE35-DPI and PTS/DTS alignment analysis can provide even more benefit to the demanding user.

Live Streaming Transcoder TXS 8600
The TXS 8600 offers high-density, multi-profile encoding and transcoding for real-time adaptive bit rate video-streaming and is ideal for delivering live events to millions of simultaneous over-the-top (OTT) viewers and building virtual multichannel cable tier offerings for OTT video services. The TXS 8600 supports all the popular codecs, containers, and adaptive bit rate protocols needed to move content to any display device, including Microsoft Smooth Streaming, Apple HLS, Adobe HDS, MPEG-2, H.264, MPEG-DASH, and more and is part of Sencores comprehensive line of streaming products including a multiunit management system (TXS 8000), a file-to-file encoder/transcoder (TXS 8400), and a dedicated stream segmentation processor (TXS 8200).
End-to-End System Monitoring: VideoBRIDGE
On display will be an extensive selection from Sencores VideoBRIDGE line including new SCTE35 ad splicing monitoring features to ensure local ad delivery, insertion, and revenue. In addition Sencore will display recent OTT/adaptive bitrate monitoring enhancements to select probes and software, which help operators ensure desired QoS from point of origination through the delivery network and on to customer-premise end-viewing devices. The OTT/adaptive bitrate monitoring for HLS, HDS, MPEG-DASH, smooth streaming & RTMP are perfect companions to the new Sencore TXS 8600 transcoder or any other OTT/adaptive bitrate encoding solution.
Receiver Decoders MRD 5800/4400
Sencores advanced line of modular receivers and receiver decoders support todays highest quality video feeds, providing H.264 and MPEG-2 decoding up to 10-bit or 8-bit 4:2:2 and output formats up to and including 1080p60 and 3G SDI. With up to eight PIDs of audio decoding, the decoders are ideal for multichannel, multilingual environments and for contribution environments, including large-venue OB productions, satellite trucks, fixed-point contribution and high-end distribution. Recently announced support for DVB-S2+ roll-off filters enables efficiency gains for satellite transmissions, so users can pay less and use more bandwidth for high-quality video.
For generic distribution applications, the MRD 4400 decodes 4:2:0 H.264 or MPEG-2 video from ASI, satellite, RF, and IP input options, and supports full use of SMPTE 2022 (CoP3) forward-error correction and is available in an SD-only model, which is ready for a software upgrade to HD in the field and works with new In-Band Control Servers to enable remote management or updating via satellite.

In addition to the existing 8VSB digital TV analysis, Sencore has introduced options for DVB-T/T2 and ISDB-T inputs for European, Latin American and Asian markets. A highly capable spectrum analyzer and automated satellite finder it provides powerful digital TV/RF analysis including MER, BER, PER, EVM, noise margin, and constellation. A pass/fail quality indication simplifies results interpretation and the analyzer displays advanced modulation and MPEG details for deep signal analysis. This rugged unit features a large 7-inch touch-screen, is portable, battery-operated and includes full-screen video/audio decoding for MPEG2/H.264 signals.
