Apogee Announces MiC and JAM Compatibility with iPhone 5, iPad Mini, iPad (4 Gen.) and iPod Touch (5 Gen.)

SANTA MONICA- November 29, 2012- Apogee Electronics, an industry leader in digital audio recording for more than 25 years, announces that the MiC and JAM are now compatible with the iPhone 5, iPad Mini, iPod Touch (5th Gen.), and iPad (4th Gen.) when used with Apple's Lightning to 30-pin adapter. The Lightning adapter provides the same high quality digital connection as when connected directly to the 30-pin dock port on previous iPhone and iPad models.

The MiC and JAM have been an integral part of our lineup, and this compatibility expansion will be great news for existing fans of these products as well as new aspiring musicians, says Apogee CEO and Co-Founder Betty Bennett. Released February 2012, MiC is the first studio-quality microphone to make a direct digital connection to iPad, iPhone, and Mac. About the size of an iPhone, MiC makes it easy to record any voice or acoustic instrument anywhere your creativity takes you. For recording electric instruments such as guitar or bass, JAM provides the same high quality connectivity as MiC to iOS devices and Mac.

MiC and JAM are both premium digital audio converters featuring Apogee's PureDIGITAL technology. Apogee's PureDIGITAL circuitry provides a no-noise signal, and lets you capture the true tone of your voice, acoustic instrument or electric guitar directly to your iOS device or Mac.

Apple's Lightning to 30-pin adapter can be purchased via Apple online or in stores for $29. You can also purchase the Lightning to 30-pin adapter with 0.2m cable for $39.
