Matrox Graphics Inc. today announced that local distributor Japan Material Ltd. will showcase the Matrox Avio F125 fiber-optic KVM extension solution along with the Sharp PN-K321 4K Ultra-HD LCD monitor at Inter BEE 2013 . Visitors will be treated to a stunning display of 4K footage extended over a fiber-optic cable.
The Matrox Avio F125 KVM extender is designed to extend a workstation's displays and peripheral devices while maintaining system performance with zero compression and zero latency at the remote user station. With its feature-rich connectivity options, it enables the extension of two HD videos or one 2K/4K video, plus keyboard, mouse, stereo analog audio and USB 2.0 devices over a single duplex LC-LC fiber-optic cable up to 400 meters in multimode and 4 km in single mode. Extension of 4K video at 30Hz is ideal for preview and playback of Ultra-HD video content.
Sharp's professional-use PN-K321 LCD monitor incorporates Sharp's cutting-edge IGZO technology offering high resolution and energy efficiency. At 3840 x 2160 pixels (4K Ultra-HD), the PN-K321 boasts four times the resolution of 1080p full HD making it ideal for a wide range of professional applications in settings where detailed information needs to be displayed with tremendous precision such as in post-production, financial services, car dealerships, cosmetics services, video game production and museums.
The combination of Matrox Avio with the Sharp 4K display provides an ideal solution for remote ultra-high resolution display environments, said Yoshinori Sakaguchi, Director of Sales, Graphics Solutions Division, Japan Material Co. Ltd. It gives users the extension performance they needed for their 4K applications while they centralize their computing resources.
The scalability provided by Matrox Avio is an important benefit for broadcast and post-production facilities as they begin implementing 4K workflows and installing 4K displays, said Caroline Injoyan, Business Development Manager, Matrox Graphics Inc. Avio's support for extension of single-HD, dual-HD, and 4K video signals with the same product lets customers protect their investments with future-proof technology.
At Inter BEE 2013, Japan Material will also showcase Matrox Maevex video over IP encoders/decoders that enable high-quality, low-bandwidth video and audio distribution over a LAN. In addition, new Matrox Video products will be demonstrated, including the Matrox Monarch HD video streaming and recording appliance, a 4K video monitoring card, and live production streaming systems.
