Welcome the New Year with the Hop Drop at Rocky Mount Mills

Ring in 2020 at Rocky Mount Mills' HopDrop. Its the party of the year and WRAL Mikaya Thurmond, WRAL TV anchor/reporter will be counting down the New Year with us!!

Rocky Mount Mills announces that its 2nd Annual Hop Drop presented by Capital Ford Rocky Mount will take place on Tuesday, December 31. The event, which is free and open to the public, runs from 5:00 p.m. 12:00 a.m and features a wide array of family-friendly entertainment to ring in the new year. WRAL anchor/reporter Mikaya Thurmond will serve as emcee for the evenings festivities which include live music, childrens activities, special beer releases, and a DJ.

We are excited to ring in the new year at Rocky Mount Mills alongside our community, said David Zeph, Sales Manager at Capital Ford Rocky Mount and presenting sponsor of Hop Drop. We want everyone to have a fun and safe night, so we are pleased to provide complimentary rides home for folks in the local area.

Capital Ford Rocky Mount is also sponsoring a contest for three overnight stays on Dec. 31 at River & Twine, the tiny house hotel located just steps away from the Hop Drop events. Stay tuned to Rocky Mount Mills social media channels for more details.

The evenings main event is the Hop Drop at midnight, and NEW this year there will be Family Hop Drop at 7:00 p.m. Both events feature a giant hop that will be lowered from the Rocky Mount Mills water tower.

To mark the occasion, all five breweries at Rocky Mount Mills have brewed hop-forward craft beers that will be released and served as part of the evening festivities. Beginning at 7:00 p.m. each brewery will take turns releasing their special brew every 30 minutes.
