For the Love: Express o

All eyes are on Brazil for the World Cup, but GoPro media team members Davis Paul and Ben Williams discovered that creativity in the country is expressed far beyond the game of futebol.

In For the Love: Express o, Davis and Ben were able to use the HERO3 Black Edition to capture the limitless artistic expressions of the locals in Rio de Janeiro, from art to music and other forms of sport. Ben explained, We wanted to explore the other creative outlets that exist in the community and spotlight the uniqueindividuals shaping the local culture. The pair met up with a local friend, Scott Miles, whose job at Project Havela in Rio introduced them to the amazing and talented people featured in this week's episode.

Davis and Ben first explored Roichina, one of Rio's largest favelas, where they had the opportunity to meet a local graffiti artist who uses cement-walled buildings as his canvas, covering them in vibrant colors and playful imagery. Using the Jaws: Flex Clamp and Chesty mount, this individual was stoked to share his talent, adding to a work-in-progress mural with the HERO3 rolling.

While roaming Rochina, the pair also discovered a skateboarding counter culture, and learned that the sport is a way for many Brazilians to escape the surrounding violence and create their own unique community. Brazilians consider skateboarding a solution not a problem, Ben explained. Local skaters were eager to wear their GoPro on a Head Strap QuickClip mount, which proved to be the perfect way to capture their tricks.

Also on their journey they were introduced to the Brazilian Freestyle Champion from Sao Paolo who combines his passion for footwork with his love forbreakdancing. The result is mind-blowing and one-of-a-kind Freestyle, captured in this episode on using the Head Strap QuickClip mount.

Finally, Davis and Paul visited Copacabana beach at sunrise where they were treated to a killer acoustic samba performance and original song, captured on HERO3 Black Edition/ Music bundle.

Exploring the art that influences Brazilian culture was a very powerful part of Davis and Ben's trip and they are happy to bring exposure to the diversity and many talents within the community.
