Kiloview has been honored with the Live Event Streaming China award at the 2025 Asia-Pacific Broadcasting+ Awards for its outstanding contribution to the 71st Macau Grand Prix, one of the world's most prestigious motorsport events. The company's advanced NDI-based AV-over-IP solution was instrumental in modernizing the event's entire video infrastructure.
Held from November 14 to 17, 2024, the Macau Grand Prix drew over 100,000 spectators and presented enormous challenges in terms of broadcast complexity and scalability. The legacy baseband video system in use was no longer sufficient it lacked the flexibility, scalability, and reliability needed for modern live production.
Overcoming Infrastructure Challenges
Video transmission was often unstable, cabling was cumbersome, and distribution to various critical areas such as the main control center, commentary booths, and security rooms was limited and inefficient. This hindered real-time collaboration among production, broadcast, and safety teams.
Kiloview s NDI-Powered AV-over-IP Solution
Kiloview addressed these challenges with a comprehensive AV-over-IP deployment based on the NDI protocol. At the heart of the solution were Kiloview NDI N60 Converters, which replaced traditional HDMI transmission by delivering ultra-low latency 4Kp60 HDR video. To manage signal flow efficiently, Kiloview NDI CORE MAX enabled centralized, large-scale signal switching and ensured stable distribution across multiple operations centers.
For capturing and archiving, Kiloview NDI CUBE R1 handled multiple streams from CORE MAX, providing reliable recordings for referee playback and post-production. Kiloview Multiview Pro offered intuitive, multi-channel monitoring for live production teams, while Kiloview KIS (Kiloview Intercom System) ensured smooth on-site communication between broadcast and production teams. KiloLink Server Pro supported centralized device management, enabling firmware updates and remote troubleshooting with greater ease.
Measurable Results and Industry Recognition
Kiloview's NDI solution truly transformed the AV system for the Macau Grand Prix, said CISC, They now have a scalable infrastructure that can easily expand to support future events. It's a future-proof foundation that ensures smooth operations for both technical teams and fans.
The solution not only improved signal quality and reduced setup time and cost but also significantly enhanced system reliability throughout the four-day event. The deployment set a new standard for live sports broadcasting in the region, showcasing the power and flexibility of NDI technology in high-demand environments.
