Media personality, Zandi Nhlapo has made her TV come back after eight years off the small screen.

The actress has joined e.tv's third-most watched telenovela, Imbewu: The Seed to play the role of Phindile Gwala's on-screen mother, Nompi Khanyeza.
Sowetan described her character as a stylish, and complicated woman who is set to bring chaos to the show.

The actress will make her full debut on Monday (18 October) though viewers of the show already had a sneak peek of Nompi on Wednesday night (13 October).
Nompi and Zandi are opposites of one another from a parenting perspective, Nhlapo said.
Nompi is hard-hearted, bordering on mean, and has a rather boxed' way of doing things, maybe because she's had to live with this damning truth buried deep inside of her for so long.
She also told the publication that she is looking forward to getting deeper into her character though the emotional scenes were hard and emotionally taxing for her.
She also stated that she is appreciative of the opportunity as it made her revisit how she is parenting her daughters every day.

-- HER LAST TV APPEARANCE Fans of the actress last saw Nhlapo as host of Cooking Gospel in 2013.
She's also appeared on high-profile productions like Man 2 Man, Eastern Mosaic, Miss South Africa, and the South African Music Awards.
Nhlapo stepped away from the limelight to focus on her communication agency, Liquid Image Consulting.
