Ahead of the ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2026, award-winning actor Daisy May Cooper has helped rally the nation alongside a World Cup Task Force' featuring comedian and actor Guz Khan, Red Roses World Cup winner Hannah Botterman, England cricketing legend and broadcaster, Ebony Rainford-Brent MBE and creator Max Fosh.

Set in a fictional writers' room, the ensemble cast have been drafted in to help inspire fans, but don't quite capture the essence of what a home tournament means. With Guz reliving his legendary backyard hundred and Max attempting to steer the conversation into something a little more meaningful, it soon becomes apparent that they aren't going to agree on the same idea.

As the conversation stalls, Daisy unexpectedly finds her voice and shares a heartfelt reflection on what a World Cup on home soil really represents. Her impromptu speech lands on themes of hope, possibility and national pride leaving the room entirely speechless (at least for a few seconds )

Speaking as part of her role in the content, Daisy May Cooper said: As a mum, I love seeing female role models on our screens as I know what a difference it can make. We've seen in recent years what can happen when a nation gets behind women's sport and I hope this inspires fans up and down the country to tune in and cheer their side on.

Ebony Rainford-Brent MBE added: A home World Cup can be such a powerful moment for the sport. We've seen the successes of the Lionesses and Red Roses in recent years, and we hope this summer can be equally defining for women's cricket. Having played and won in 2009, I know just how much it can help inspire younger generations to pick up a bat or a ball.

Sky Sports will make the ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2026 accessible to the broadest possible audience. Key matches, including the opening fixture and final will be available free-to-air on Sky Mix, with all home nations games, semi-finals and the final also accessible without a subscription via the Sky Sports app, alongside coverage of the opener on YouTube.

Coverage will be delivered by Nasser Hussain, Natasha Farrant and Hannah Wilkes with Sky Sports and NOW set to show every match live, from the first ball at Edgbaston on 12 June through to the final at Lord's on 5 July.
